Rest assured these boots are compliant. The lightweight composite Nano-toe™ and flexible XRD® Performance internal metatarsal meet both ASTM F2413 and CSA Grade 1 standards for impact and compression, protecting the tops of your feet from items that fall onto or roll over the top of your boot.
You never know what you might step into - or onto. The Terra Sawtooth Met also meets ASTM and CSA standards for puncture resistance and electrical hazards, giving you secondary protection against sharps and accidental exposure to open circuits. And rest assured the exclusive TERRA® Avalon Vibram® Fire&Ice™ high performance slip-resistant rubber outsole will keep you sure-footed in a variety of environments and excels at heat-, oil- and acid-resistance.
Built to last, this durable boot has a welted forefoot with PU heel. HELCOR® leather is quad stitched to the vamp and heel counter, providing abrasion-, oil- and acid-resistance to prone areas. A reinforced external TPU toe bumper provides additional scuff resistance where it's needed most.
And these boots are comfortable. The composite Nano-toe weighs less and allows for more toe wiggle room then a steel toe. And the XRD® Internal metatarsal will allow your foot to flex and bend. A full-grain waterproof seal-seamed leather upper with an interior waterproof bootie keeps the wet out. CLEANFEET® treated moisture wicking performance lining helps with odor and sweaty feet. Underfoot there is a removable triple-density polyurethane footbed to cushion and support your feet, reducing foot fatigue.

Electrical Hazard
Footwear is built with nail-free construction using steel composition toe caps to help insulate you from the ground retard conduction, but is not intended to be primary protection against electric shock. Leather footwear must be dry. Our electrical hazard boots meets and exceeds ASTM F2413-05 electrical hazard standards.
Puncture Resistant
PR footwear reduces the possibility of sharp objects (nails, glass or metal) penetrating through the outsole causing injury to the foot. Protection is provided by a steel or puncture resistant material imbedded in the insole of the footwear.
Metatarsal Guard
Footwear offering metatarsal protection is designed to prevent or reduce injuries when the toe and metatarsal areas of the foot are exposed to "drop" hazards. Metatarsal protection safety shoes may be constructed with either internal or external metatarsal guards.

CSA Approved - Sole Puncture Protection with Grade 1 Protective Toe
Grade 1 protective toe will withstand up to 125 joules (50 lbs) dropped from 0.6 m. Sole puncture protection is designed to withstand a force of not less than 1200 Newtons (270 lbs) and resist cracking after being subjected to 1.5 million flexes.
